My SXSW 2027 Session is Up for a Vote
A request for your support
Changing Lanes readers will want to know that I’ve proposed a session for SXSW 2027 in Austin. It’s titled “Robotaxis Are Coming: Five Decisions Your City Must Make”.
The session takes the arguments I’ve often made here at Changing Lanes and presents them in the form of a a readiness playbook: the five decisions a city has to make before the first driverless car arrives, what’s at stake, and how to choose well. It aims to help civic leaders understand how to ensure that driving automation gives the most benefit to the cities where it is deployed.
To help me get on the stage in Austin, I have two requests.
Firstly, please cast a vote in support of the presentation, here.
Secondly, after voting, please leave a comment, since they carry more weight with the selection staff than the vote itself. One line is sufficient (though more are welcome!). You might write about why the topic matters, or about my work and standing to discuss this subject; really, anything kind would help.
Voting closes on 23 August (2359h Pacific), so please vote before then. Why not do it now?
Again, you can do so here.
Thank you for reading, and for your support.
