Exciting! To me the best part is that in any of these scenarios, the salience of private parking decreases relative to today.

What do you think about the role of micromobility in these two visions?

It depends what you mean by that term, but if you mean 'shared bikes and scooters', then I think they work great in high-density areas, where they provide for shorter trips faster and cheaper than even robotaxis can, especially where we provide dedicated lanes for them. At suburban levels of density, I don't think they work.

The exciting change would be the automated scooter that can carry you on your trip, and then drive itself back to a docking station, so automated charging and fleet rebalancing. I don't know if anyone is working on this, but in some environments that would succeed in a way no traditional bikeshare nor scootershare could!
